"Disk Golf" WiiWare game announced (a while back).

“Our tentative plans are to release a game sometime middle or late next year. The Wii is obviously a great platform … and we just think it’s perfectly suited for what we want to do for a disc golf game. We’re looking at re-creating some of the famous courses, working with Brian Graham (executive director of the Professional Disc Golf Association) and that organization to make sure that the game is authentic, and kind of take people through the steps of becoming a professional disc golfer.” - Shayne Guiliano, Autonomous Productions


They're ALSO supervising another WiiWare game... I think it's Plattchen...

The only one that sounds interesting yet is the Final Fantasy title (and on a smaller scale the Bomberman one, but considering how they keep messing up their games lately...). The Pokémon one WOULD be interesting, but it's apparently only a place where you can kinda "care" about your Pokémon, with HORRIBLE graphics. I'm not a graphics whore at all, but wtf. Also, it's "Plättchen", note the dotted a.

No but you're right, the P-Ranch graphics could be improved..

There's a possibility that we may get Bejeweled coming to the Wii in WiiWare form.

Also, Gravitronix has been confirmed to have scrapped their ideas to incorporate Wi-Fi/WiiConnect24 I'm afraid.

Hopefully, they'll reconsider if they can but it's out of their hands I believe.

Looks like they're not implementing WiiWare Demos/Trial Period:

"The intention is that the creators will create the game and we’ll make it available on WiiWare after it passes certification. But we really don’t want to impose kind of too many restrictions on developers, or too many requirements. As an example, in many cases we don’t want to say just because people can connect to the Internet that they have to make a multiplayer via the Internet version, or Wii Connect 24 modes, or take advantage of all the types of features that are available. The key for us is not to impose too many restrictions on the content creators and allow them to create the content that and the features that they think are more suitable to express their vision of the product. And creating demos or having demos as a requirement is a very costly type of endeavor, so it’s not a requirement from Nintendo. - Nintendo of America director of project development Tom Prata

“We do not intend to have a ‘try-before-you-buy’ model that requires developers to create expensive demos. Nintendo plans to provide information on games similar to what Nintendo in Japan is doing with the Everybody’s Nintendo Channel where creators can share information on their game directly to Wii consumers.” - Golin Harris statement

Guys, this was said about WiiWare, officially (by Reggie):
Although Japan has been experiencing a "drought" in terms of WiiWare games post-launch, when WiiWare hits NA, WiiWare titles will appear at a similar pace as the Virtual Console downloads. That's great to hear!
