I had to post it there to move it here. I cant post new threads here strangely as me and Rocky observed before WD went down.

If you are a latecomer (i.e., you didn’t sign up before I started posting this) please post in the SIGN-UPS THREAD BEFORE coming here.

ONE KEY RULE: No discussing team decisions in the shoutbox. PM’s, ftw. But you can post them in the shoutbox if you don’t mind people being able to see them!

“Welcome!” I announce to those who’ve arrived as they get off the boat. “Welcome to WiiDebate Island!” I hear chuckles in the background. “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up now while you still can because things are going to get very interesting around these parts. ” I look out at the crowd and I see over 10 people who have come to the island. I ask them to head of the dock, onto the beach. “I bet you’re all wondering why I’ve invited you here. You all will be taking part in a number of challenges in teams. Now, the variety of challenges differs GREATLY. There’s some pretty random stuff in here, but it’s all good because you all will be battling to stay on top over your competitors. You won’t know what to expect and each day will bring about it’s own challenges, so you’d better be prepared to stay on your toes!” I hear someone in the background ask, “How did I get myself signed up for this?”

“I’ve taken the liberty of enlisting the following team leaders who will be the head of your groups for most of the way.”

I notice a hand shoot up – it looks like koolguy18 has a question. “What do you mean most of the way? That hardly sounds re-assuring…”

Before I can answer, max’s hand springs up as well, and he asks, “Can I be a mod… I mean uh… a team captain?”

Again, I’m interrupted, this time by Garis208 who comments, “This isn’t MSC, max. He specifically called them team leaders.”

Soon everyone is yelling out questions and I don’t get a chance to answer any of them. I then yell into my megaphone: “Guys, quite down, please!” Everyone but Quinn shuts up.

“Oh… go ahead KS8…” Quinn says somewhat remorsefully.

“Guys, I know you must have tons of Q’s but I’m not answering any of them… or at least none of them directly. This trip will be full of surprises and twists and trust me, you won’t be expecting certain things to happen. Now, before I announce who the team leaders are and before I get cut off again, I must say this: each day of the week doesn’t necessarily count as a day that passes by on this trip (in other words, the next “day” comes in the game when I post it). Also, although this is WiiDebate Island, there are no Wii’s to speak of on the island at this time.

Now, let’s meet your team leaders, shall we?

“Okay, I call dibs on Aviator!” small yells out.

“Nice try,” I answer back, “but there are no “dibs”. I’ve chosen the teams already.

“Awww…” Blue Fantasy sighs.

“Great, well I at least know KS8 will pick me!” Quinn says with a hint of sarcasm.
Garis just rolls his eyes.

“Hey, hey everyone. No need to worry. I’ve made it so that the teams are… shall we say… interesting. Yes, be afraid. xD Here are the teams – no complaints! I will say, though, that some of your teammates won’t be permanent additions/members to your team… I’ll leave you with that and have you speculating but I will say that there’s more to this than you might think….

TEAMS
Team 1: KnucklesSonic8, mew22, Sousanator, sonic1336, maxaboshi, Blue Fantasy

Team 2: Small, Kudo, Quinn, Danny, koolguy18

Team 3: Randomboy, Garis208, Rocky, Aviator, thexcheat

* The first member is the CAPTAIN and the second bolded member is your CO-CAPTAIN.

“Hey!” Rocky exclaims. “Aren’t I supposed to be a team leader?!”
“Now now, don’t get your you know what’s in a know,” Danny wise-cracks.

“Guys, please. How I decided the captains and co-captains was not based on position of authority. I have my reasons.”

“Fine, KS8, but you can’t host and be a team leader at the same time!” someone yells out from the crowd – I’m guessing it’s Danny but I can’t be sure.

“You would think so, wouldn’t you?” I reply. “Well, team leaders can participate in challenges, but, here’s a twist, there are some that I can’t participate in which is also why Team 1 has one extra member. BAM! There’s the first twist of the day for Team 1. Teams 2 and 3, you’re not off the hook yet so don’t get cocky… Your “twists” will come soon enough…

Now, each team will have their own “base camp”, if you will, situated along the shoreline in front of me. You’ll have to build your own shelters and that’s where today’s first challenge comes in. After you acquaint yourselves a bit with your new teammates, get to your first challenge!

Today’s challenge is a SHELTER-BUILDING COMPETITION. Now, on the Island, there are many materials/resources you can use to construct your base camp/shelter. You’ll have to design in any photo-editing software/application (even something as simple as MS Paint will do) a rough sketch of what your team’s shelter will look like. Don’t go overboard with detail and keep it simple but not too simple. There are no other restrictions except that they must be realistic and you must PM the image/link to your image.

mew, Kudo and Garis, as you know, you three are co-captains for your respective teams. You three (only) must PM me as soon as you read this and you’ll be given something that will help you with today’s challenge and you can share it with your teammates via PM. Get to it everyone! And so it begins….

Day One - Evening/Sundown

You've all worked hard on your sketches. The winner, though is Team 3 for a great sketch. Now, here's the twist. You've all been given the shelters you've just been drawn (save for Team 2 who has a rock. xD) Team 3 gets their very first Point Card, worth 5 points. Now, let me explain these Point Cards.

Teams can accumulate Points for their performance in challenges and these Point Cards in turn can be redeemed for items and can allow you to mess up your opponents too! But we’ll talk more about that later.

Now, it’s almost the end of the day and I have one last thing to tell you. Some challenges will involve me hiding a CARD in one of my posts on the forum. A “Green Card” will allow you to protect one of your teammates so they can’t get voted off the island (yes, you heard that right, but we’ll get to that later :o). The “Red Card” will allow you to instantly steal a member from another team and cause them to join your team, and it can be anyone on only TEAMS 2 and 3 (yes, another twist!!) and it can be anyone except the Captain (you can steal Co-Captains too! :o). These and other cards will have other complications as well! :o For now, get some rest in your newly-built shelters. You have a huge day ahead of you tomorrow, everyone! :o

Day Two - Morning

“Okay, it’s time to get serious everyone!”

“It’s on isn’t it?” max inquires.
“Oh. It’s on!! BAM!” mew replies enthusiastically. “I wish em was here though”, mew says as his voice lowers.
“I sure don’t…” Quinn replies.
“Shut it… well… maybe you’re right.” Mew says in agreement.
“Boy are you a great friend.” Garis says glaring at mew :glare:

“As I was saying, yesterday was a nice introduction to the Island but don’t expect it to be smooth sailing from here on out. Now, you all have NO idea what’s on this Island. You’ve only been introduced to the beach and the dock on which I stand before you, but you’ll need to explore deeper into the Island if you want to rack up some supplies, and ultimately, some points for your team. Each team will have access to a map posted on the billboard over by Camp 3. The map will gradually get filled in as you explore the Island. Certain points in the game, a plane will drop off shipments that may include materials to help construct a structure somewhere on the Island, or even deliver food supplies.”

“Why can’t the plane just take us all home already.” Danny says, glaring his eyes at me. :glare:
“Right…” I reply.
“Just let him finish guys, geez!” small says backing me up.
“Yeah,” I reply, “but I kinda lost my train of thought.”
“Pssh. Typical.” Danny says rolling his eyes.
“High-five man!” Quinn says.
“Screw you!” Danny lashes.
As I try to recollect my thoughts, more conversation goes on: Blue Fantasy twiddling her thumbs along with sonic1336 waiting for me to proceed while Garis and small tell everyone on opposite teams to be quiet.
“ Okay, I think I got it back now.”
“Took you long enough.”

“So AS I WAS SAYING, today, for the first part of the day, you’ll get to me up with your teammates for a bit and discuss amongst yourselves what square on the map you want me to reveal. You all have an hour to come up with a decision (REAL-TIME: till 5:00 today) and I’ll ask all the captains to post their team’s final decisions here in the topic (or Co-Cptns. if Cptns. aren’t present). I’ll reveal the squares on the map people request and I’ll “repost” the new map on the bulletin board over by Team 3’s camp. Now, before I showed you all the map but instead, I’m going to tell you about the map and you decide on the square. Let’s see if you have a good photographic memory (like me! ) and if you’ll actually waste it. xD Think carefully as you might not get to do this again for quite some time. Three squares will be revealed by the end of it.

The map goes from A-I on the Vertical bar on the left, and from 1-8 on the Horizontal bar at the top. That’s all I’m telling you.

You all have about half-an-hour left! (Real-time: It's 2:22 right now so you have less than 3 hours!)

Ok, Team 3 would like to uncover square D-5.
