Here is yet another one of my guides that can aid you on the journey to an optimal Wii experience as posted in another forum. If you have any problems with your Wii remote, please consult this quick little guide.
There may have been a time where you completely lost your motion sensing for you remotes, or it just seems to be a little bit jumpy. Here's some tips to fine tune your remote settings to get the most out of motion sensing controls.
1: The location is everything. Top? Bottom? Does it even matter? YES. Depending on your screen size, you may want to have the sensor bar on top or bottom. If your screen size is over 45 inches tall then you may want to have it on the bottom. Any smaller and the top would work. Having the sensor bar on the bottom with big screens helps with major sensing movements, like uppercuts, bat swings, uber tricks, etc. Also, make sure you change the settings if you changed the location in the Wii Menu settings.
2: Sensitivity is key. You can adjust the sensitivity of the Wii sensor bar to help how far you play from the TV. To change this setting, go to the Wii Menu Settings, then to the sensor bar, then to sensitivity. Option 1 is good for 1-3 feet, 2 is good for 3-6 feet, 3 is good for 6-9 feet, 4 is good for 9-12 feet, and 5 is good for 12-15 feet. If you need to go any farther, then you should buy a better sensor bar.
3: How 'bout those batteries? Battery life can really effect how well the Remote performs, maybe more than you know. When the battery life is low, the remote can't send a good signal. Make sure to keep good batteries are in, and invest in rechargeable batteries or a recharge station. It can save a lot!
For the time being, that's all I got! If any of you have any more tips to add, say so. I'll also update if I do find more.
I hope this helps with motion-sensing goodness!
