What is the hardest comet to complete?

In my opinion it is the Daredevil Comet Run on the Lava Spire

Never made it that far when I rented it.. I will say though that Rolling Green Galaxy is more annoying than "hard".
Especially since the controls aren't entirely welcoming. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz had better control, no doubt. XD

i got it as like my 105th star so dont feel bad
and it is hard and annoying because there is lava and enimies and almost a possibility of dying almost every sec

"Luigi's Purple Coins" on Toy Time Galaxy, Purple Comet obviously. I spent several lives there.
also, the Purple Coin one on the Dreadnought Galaxy as Luigi. It's so hard with his lower friction.

Couldn't be. I found that to be easy.
All the Daredevil Comets I completed when I rented it gave me little trouble (i.e., beaten on first try).
