Weekly Monday NA Update

I find out beforehand what the games are for Monday's updates for NA. I'll post them here each week since some of you have to wait to find out and sometimes you just set yourself up for disappointment.

Well at least now you'll know beforehand.

If you WANT to be surprised, simply don't read on. XD

Releases for this Monday:

January 7th, 2008.
We only get two games this time, and somewhat disappointing games at that.

Startropics for the NES. 500 Points.
King of Fighters ‘94 for the NeoGeo. 900 Points.

I'm happy for anyone who anticipated these titles but for me, yet another disappointing week of useless games. (No offense, again, to people who wanted one/both of these games to go up.)
Riot Zone is one of the games NA gets Monday. Let me try finding the others...

Also, StarTropics comes to Aussie/Europe next update as well. Small, feel free to make a seperate thread for (I guess:) "PAL" regions?
Other game for Monday: Pac-Attack for the SNES.
Sorry. Posted this in my other topic but it's too late now but for the sake of argument I guess, this past Monday:

Adventures of Lolo 2 (NES)
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (SNES)
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO WAY!!!!!!! :o
I didn't think we'd get this until WAY later!!!! :o
Imagine my surprise when I found out what the game was, as it was a game I was looking forward to!!! :o

"Traverse the half-pipe from the comfort of your living room. With this classic game, it's Winter Break all the time. Freestyle through white powder, and school your best pal with your new trick! Did you get air?

This new classic game goes live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the Wii Shop Channel every Monday. Wii™ owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new game is:

1080°® SNOWBOARDING (N64®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Hit the slopes for some serious shredding in one of the first truly realistic snowboarding games ever created! Start in the lodge and select from five characters, each with his/her own particular attributes and special tricks. Then take a look at the wide assortment of available boards and choose one that best suits your rider and style. Once you’ve got the gear, six different modes of play, including Match Race, Trick Attack, and 2-Player Versus, await. Pick a course and get ready to experience a sensation of speed that’ll make you forget all about the cold—but it might just send a shiver down your spine. Throw in hidden characters and boards, varying weather and snow conditions, multiple paths through each course, and a variety of tricks to master—topped off with rock-solid play control—and you’ve got a recipe for winter fun that you can enjoy any time of the year. It’s all the fun and excitement of the sport, without the bruises and frostbite! "

!!!!
Yeah, I heard. I was somewhat miffed that you guys got it and then we'd have to wait one month or more until this came out for us but I can't believe we're getting this!!! Where's a GL code when you need one... :(

In any case, I heard that we were supposed to get Cruisin USA first... I guess it's the other way around.
We're getting:
* Operation Wolf (NES, E10+)
* Columns III: Revenge of the Columns (Genesis, 1-5 Players)

Columns may sound good but its yet another week of abysmal, disinteresting games...

Looks like 200th VC Game isn't a big deal to Nintendo...

RE: Weekly Monday NA Update

Yeah, but Super Mario RPG wasn't expected this time.

It was predicted to be Earthbound, Smash Bros., or Kirby's Dream Land 3.
It turned out to be none of those titles, which is sorely disappointing and it just makes me think like it was a completely wasted opportunity.

I'm still saving 1000 points though.

RE: Weekly Monday NA Update

Yeah, Harvest Moon isn't so bad. :)
I won't buy it though... Saving my points for something more worthwhile.

HM was unexpected for me and I was hoping for Smash Bros. In fact, I'm surprised not even Kirby's Dream Land 3 showed up. But in any case, we're clearly getting some better titles now since 1080 Snowboarding. :)

RE: Weekly Monday NA Update

Yeah, that's so true... Why they're not thinking about this puzzles me. Unless they're planning something special for the day of but I doubt it as they're only doing the CMO Contest. XD
