Australia is one of the only countries in the world to NOT have a R18+ Rating for games. Many people want it and need it for the protection of their kids. With many games out like Grand Theft Auto 4 etc. parents are worried about the welfare of their kids.

Doesn't make much a difference, most parents will buy it for their kids if they ask. And if they don't people get people to buy it in shops, some shops sell it anyway. It's not like alcohol they don't ask for ID.

Welllll..... only partially-true, really. Some parents could care less about what their kids play. <_<

But anyway, I think there should be a Rating for that, especially for disgusting games like GTA4. But that's just my take on the matter.

Putting games at 18+ wouldn't make a difference, i mean the rating in uk highest is 18+ sure you could do what america does, make games at 16+, 18+ and then 21+

But either way if people want a game they will get ahold of it, by any means. For example, i get most of my games cheap off Ebay, since i look after the account. Yet i buy games that are for 18.

The difference is my mum trusts what i buy and would buy it for me anyway she knows unlike some people, that i know the game isn't real etc.. all that stuff most parents try to explain to their kids.
