(5) GAME FEATURES

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Overview
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 – the sequel to the extremely successful original that, to this day, has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, making it one of the highest grossing games on the Wii thus far. I was very much looking forwards to a sequel but I sure didn’t expect it to come so soon – I’m glad it did! :)

One critic claimed that this game should serve as an example to prove that developers are trying to cash-in on quick-made sequels. That statement is so untrue. While it may have some validity to it, this game is great, and the original was definitely worthy of a sequel (in fact, I can envision a 3rd game being added to the series). But don’t take my word for it!

After failing to succeed at overtaking Rayman’s world, the Rabbids have turned their attention to... our world and yes, by our world, I am referring to the Planet Earth.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Game Controls
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

>>>>>>> WII REMOTE <<<<<<<

* Control Pad: Rarely used, it at all.

* A Button: Used in a lot of mini-games; also used to validate selections on menus.

* B Button: Used in some mini-games; also used to cancel choices on menus.

* Minus: Not used (I don’t think).

* Plus: Used to start a mini-game right away from a game’s Tutorial Menu.

* Home Button: Used to bring up the Home Menu where you can customize various settings, check the battery life, and customize the connection for all the Wii Remotes you’ve synched to the console. You can go back to the Wii Menu from here also.

>>>>>>> NUNCHUK <<<<<<<

* Z Button: Not used.

* Analog Stick: Used in some mini-games to control character movement.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Menu
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

> Trips Mode <
- Allows you to advance the game’s “storyline”. Journey to the locations those crazy Rabbids visit. Each trip will contain a series of mini-games (5) which are randomly decided depending on the games available for the location. The last mini-game, just like in the original, is always a music (“dancing”) mini-game.

> Trip Customization<
- Use this mode to create or modify your very own trips, consisting of mini-games you’ve unlocked in the Trips Mode.

> Free Play <
- Play any of the mini-games you’ve unlocked. Go for high scores here with friends and compare World Rankings with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

> Character Customization <
- Allows you to customize any of the bunnies you’ve unlocked with articles of clothing and costumed you’ve unlocked from earning golden trophies on mini-games.

> Shooting Games (Arcade) <
- Here you can find and play the shooting games you unlocked in Trips Mode. They have been substantially improved from the original.

> Jukebox <
- Play songs from the music games you’ve unlocked in Trips Mode. Unfortunately, they don’t have “Around the World” which is disappointing for me as I’m increasingly fond of that song. Oh and you won’t find “Making Fun of Everyday Life” here either. :P

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Multiplayer Support
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This part of the guide takes care of the common inquiry, “How do I add more controllers?”

The best place to sync your remotes would be on the Wii Menu. READ YOUR WII INSTRUCTION MANUAL for more information – that’s what it’s there for! The information can be found on pages 20 and 21.

There are 2 ways to go about doing this. Take note of BOTH ways.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Method 1: THE HOME BUTTON
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

WHAT?
Allows you to TEMPORARILY add secondary Wii Remotes form your friend’s consoles. Once the power is turned off, the SYNC is lost.

HOW?
Press the Home Button and select the WII REMOTE SETTINGS option on the bottom of the screen. Select RECONNECT. Press 1 and 2 Buttons simultaneously to add a Wii Remote (sometimes it will work instantaneously; other times, you may have to hold it for a bit). The order in which the buttons are pressed on each Wii Remote determines the order in Multiplayer games.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Method 2: THE WII MENU
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

WHAT?
Allows you to PERMANENTLY add secondary Wii Remotes.

HOW?
You need to press the SYNC button (a noticeable red button near the SD Slot) on your Wii and press the SYNC button on the Remote you wish to add (a similar red button in the battery compartment).

**************************************
(6) BUNNIES!
**************************************

[COMING SOON]

**************************************
(7) TRIPS
**************************************

There are 5 Trips you can play that will contain a series of five mini-games and a “dancing”/music mini-game. There was originally supposed to be 6 but it got scrapped out unfortunately. :(

Anyway, you can also find the three Trips you customized (if any) here.

And yes, there are high-scores for the series of mini-games as well.

Keep in mind that the games are randomly-selected based on the location you choose. An exception this are the dancing mini-games that are always the same depending on the location you choose. If you want to unlock all the mini-games, you’ll have to keep playing the series the missing mini-game belongs to.

Also, if players don’t have Nunchuks attached when you select it, the game will ask you to play a SPECIAL TRIP. In this case, only games that use the Remote will be chosen. You can use this to advantage if the missing mini-game you need uses only the Remote.

**************************************
(8) TRIP CUSTOMIZATION
**************************************

In this menu you can make your OWN trips/series that you can just select when friends come over or whatever. You can make up to 3 and there’s no apparent limit in the number of games you can choose for your special series/trip. You can also name your trip up to a maximum of 8 characters.

Here are some suggestions I came up with if you’re a little less creative or even brain dead in this area:

<1> “BESTOF_/TOP 10/TOP 12”
Choose your favourite mini-games and make a series out of them! For “BESTOF_” replace the underscore with the first initial of your name and you can make another one for your friend if they want to. You could like wise do “_TOP10”, again, replacing the underscore w/ your first initial.

<2> BALANCE
Obviously, as the name suggests, choose only Balance Games.
/ Burgerinni /
/ Burgeritos /
/ The China House /
/ Dizzy Race /
/ Spitter Sells /

Arguably, Spider Rabbid could be chosen as well.

<3> DELIVERY
Self-explanatory.
/ Ice on Ice /
/ Burgerinni /
/ Burgeritos /
/ Spicy Chicken /

<4> EXERTION
Choose only the most physically-demanding games and see how long everyone can last. This should be great competition. :)
/ Timber! /
/ Rolling Stone /
/ Laundry /
/ Burp /
/ Baseball /
/ Plumber Rabbids /
/ Snail Race /
/ Swimsuit Edition /

Maybe stick in a Dancing Mini-game to see if they’d be able to handle it. Smoke on the Water is a great choice for this – I feel sorry for the sucker that gets the Voice. They have the most work with gesture replications.

<5> TIMING
/ Dial R for Rabbid /
/ TNT /
/ OK Corral /
/ RR Xtreme Beach Volley /
/ Baseball /
/ Anesthetics /
/ Trash Race /
/ Photo Booth /

<6> SPORTS/MARATHON
/ American Football /
/ Baseball /
/ RR Xtreme Beach Volley /
/ Bike Race /

<7> RACEWARS
Choose only racing games for this one. I thought of the name idea from NeedforSpeed. :)
/ Bike Race /
/ Shopping Cart Downhill /
/ Snail Race /
/ Dizzy Race /
/ Trash Race /
/ Swimsuit Edition /
/ Fart Wars /
/ Timber! /

<8> MISCHIEF
I’m sure this word crosses mind once you hear of the Rabbids and see what they’ve been doing lately. :P
/ Usual Rabbids /
/ Rolling Stone /
/ Yummy Butterflies /
/ Burp /
There are others you could put in.

<9> BOOGIE/DANCEOFF
Top 3/4 Dancing Games. Simple.

<10> VOCATION/CAREERS/JOBFAIR
/ Burgerinni /
/ Anesthetics /
/ Plumber Rabbids /
/ The Office /
/ School Rabbids /
/ Spicy Chicken /
/ the China House /
/ Burgeritos /

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
FORMAT
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

[Mini-Game Name]
OBJECTIVE
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: Out of 5 stars.
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: Out of 5 stars.
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: Out of 5 stars.
DIFFICULTY: Out of 5 stars.
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: Out of 5 stars. Goal = 12000.
NUNCHUK (Y/N)
MY ADVICE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note that the mini-games are the order in which they appear in Free Play, divided by region/trip.
Also, note that if you see something like: “***/****”, that means that the rating is a decimal variable in between the two star values. In this case, it’d be 3.5 (three and a half).
Plus, all mini-games are SIMULTANEOUS play, safe for a few exceptions, indicated in brackets beside a mini-game’s name.
Are We There Yet?
OBJECTIVE: Calm the Rabbid Kids down by smacking them.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ***/5
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***/5
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ***
NUNCHUK (Y/N): Yes
MY ADVICE
+ If you smack a kid twice or if you smack one while it’s still dazed, you won’t gain any points, but you won’t lose any either.
+ You’ll lose a significant amount of points if you smack a Rabbid that isn’t jumping.
+ At the start, stare at the center
+ Be accurate with the swings of the Nunchuk. Only swing when you’re right over the Rabbid. This is especially important when the Rabbids get faster.
+ The quicker you smack the Rabbid, the more points you’ll earn.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Spitter Sells
OBJECTIVE: Spit carrot juice into the mugs of desiring Rabbids below.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: **/***
Singing in the Rain
OBJECTIVE: Imitate the dancing Rabbid with clear-cut replications of his movements.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: *****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: *****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***/****
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ***
NUNCHUK (Y/N): Yes
MY ADVICE
+ You’ll lose a life for every mistake you make until you make 3 mistakes.
+ When playing multiplayer, timing doesn’t matter. So you can take your time in the earlier rounds.
+ Timing isn’t a big deal when aiming for points (i.e., the Golden Trophy). The faster you make the movements, the more points you will earn.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
American Football
OBJECTIVE: Grab the ball and avoid the other Rabbids for as long as possible to rack up points.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: *****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ***
NUNCHUK (Y/N): Yes
MY ADVICE
+ Head in zig-zags and diagonals when facing the COM.
+ The number of points earned are determine by when and for how long you hold the ball. If you hold the ball from the very beginning and keep it until the timer gets half-way there, you’ll earn more points than you would if you held the ball for the same amount of time after the timer gets half-way there.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Anesthetics (ALTERNATING Play)
OBJECTIVE: Put the Rabbid to sleep by smacking it with proper timing.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ***
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ****
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: **/***
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ Don’t just always go full blast. Timing is key!
+ Going for the Trophy? Go full blast for the first 3. After that, when it says he’s “Getting Sleepy...” go about half way or about half of that. Once it gets to “Almost There...” see how long you can prolong it by going in very small increments and after the computer ges, then go full blast.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Spider Rabbid
OBJECTIVE: Grab the floating Spider-Rabbid icon and swing your way from building to building avoiding the onslaught of the other Rabbids.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***/****
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ***/****
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ The max you can get is 500 per second or so. Try to get as high as you can!
+ You don’t have to sling one web per building. Sling multiple webs per building to turn faster and to be more effective in dodging rockets from other Rabbids.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dial R for Rabbid
OBJECTIVE: Don’t get caught using your cell phone in the theatre by placing the blame on the other Rabbids by sending them a text message.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ****/*****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***/****
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: **
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ Hold your finger near the A Button as you hold it close to your ear.
+ The max you can get for a round is about three offerings of 750. To do that, after the second one (this will be about when the Rabbid is more than halfway there to the door), once the points for the third one appear, stop immediately and press A rapidly.
+ Remember, the person who taps A the most stays and doesn’t get hit.
+ When playing multiplayer, pressing A as fast as possible will help you steal the lead as your rivals recover from the last round.
+ Once the lights go on, put the Remote on your lap with your finger just above the A Button and then start mashing.
+ Don’t text message too early! You’ll be immobilized automatically.
+ Don’t redial until JUST before he leave. IT takes a second for the Remote to allow you to redial but if you do it a little bit before he leaves, as soon as the lights go off again, you can start racking up even more points quicker.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Usual Rabbids
OBJECTIVE: Watch the crime scene and pick out the culprit as fast as you can.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: **/***
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ***/****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: **/***
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ To get the most points, you have to choose the Right bunny as fast as possible and stay on that bunny without changing your choice again to avoid losing points. Basically, the longer you have the right/guilty Rabbid, the more points you’ll earn.
+ Take note of hats, facial hair, costumes and skin colour.
+ Don’t always try tricking your friends in multiplayer otherwise you won’t get enough points to justify your win! Do it only for 2 rounds to psych them out (don’t get predictable and always do the first and second rounds – try the third and last, the second and last, you get the picture).
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Papa’s Got...
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ You have three water bottles. Use them sparingly and wisely.
+ The computers will use the water bottles usually after they get hit and you pass them. After you pass them, swerve as much as you can to avoid getting caught off guard.
+ Once you see a cow along the right-hand side of the path, the end is approaching. Stay on the left, and if you’re not in the lead, now is the perfect time to use a water bottle. If you ARE in the lead, be careful.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ice on Ice
OBJECTIVE: Deliver ice cream buckets from the vendors to the Rabbid on the bottom left of the screen.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ***
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ***
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: **
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: **
NUNCHUK (Y/N): Yes
MY ADVICE
+ The shops/vendors only stay open for a little while and then another one opens.
+ You can tackle an opponent and make them fall in the ice by swinging the Remote when you don’t have a bucket of Ice Cream.
+ If you touch a COM, they’ll tackle you. Avoid them as much as possible.
+ If the one in the middle opens up, head along the left path instead to avoid the crowd/chaos.
+ If the one on the left opens up, head along the middle path, again, to avoid them.
+ The maximum number of buckets you can get per station is 3, that is, if the computers don’t block you, if the station is on the left or right and that you go really fast and take the quickest route possible.
+ When going for the Trophy, try to sneak 2 buckets per station. That’ll guarantee you the win.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Snake Charmer
OBJECTIVE: Press the buttons as fast and as accurately as possible as depicted on the screen’s Wii Remote drawing.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: *****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***/****
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ***/****
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ The 1 and 2 Buttons will mess you up the most. If you put the Remote with the buttons facing you, eye those two buttons the most and press the A Button (when instructed to do so) as if on impulse.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Little Chemist
OBJECTIVE: Grab the corresponding bottles that match the shapes underneath your strapped Rabbid to make him a victim of science.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: **/***
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ***
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
+ This is all about memorization. Use it to your advantage if you can.
+ Remember that there are 6 symbols:
- Yellow Bunny
- Pink Bunny
- Yellow Swirl
- Pink Swirl
- Yellow Star
- Pink Star
Try your best not to get confused. :P
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Burp (ALTERNATING Play)
OBJECTIVE: Shake the Wii Remote furiously in an attempt to create the largest burp that will destroy as much of the environment as possible.
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ***/****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY:
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY:
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ Shake the Remote as fast as possible in an up-and-downwards motion. From my experience, a shorter reach is most effective.
+ Press A as fast as you can and drink the carbonated beverage properly. Make sure none of it slips out.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chess
OBJECTIVE: Concentrate on the game of chess as hard as you can.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: *****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: *
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ****
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ All the game says is that your objective is to “win”. How specific. XD
+ Hold the Wii Remote up to your left temple and your Nunchuk to your right. Try concentrating on the chess piece that the Rabbids keep moving (for no apparent reason! :P). Try again a second time and concentrate on one of the Rabbids.
+ Imitate the Rabbid from the Tutorial screen by shaking your head back to back quickly as if to simulate the notion of excessive concentration.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Burgerinni
OBJECTIVE: Deliver the burgers to the over-sized Rabbid at the end of the hallway as they continue to pile high.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***/****
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ****
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ For the first burger, run as fast as you can three-quarters of the way, press A and run the rest of the way.
+ Tapping A is shorter than holding it – holding it takes a while – but holding it will secure your burger tower more firmly when it starts to pile really high.
+ Slow and steady once your burger pile gets passed the third order.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Photo Booth (ALTERNATING Play)
OBJECTIVE: Set up a great shot in time for the photo.
FUN FACTOR/SOLO: ***/****
FUN FACTOR/2-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ***/****
FUN FACTOR/4-PERSON MULTIPLAYER: ???
DIFFICULTY: ***
HIGH-SCORE DIFFICULTY: ****
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ Tap the A Button to lower it. Don’t hold it or you’ll go to the bottom and waste some time.
+ If you turn your seat and the picture snaps, you’ll only get 3 points and a Thumbs Down.
+ You have to get all 3 good shots to get a Trophy.
+ The lines on the screen are to help you line up the shot. Make sure the legs aren’t on the screen and that the ears touch the top red line.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Satisfaction
OBJECTIVE: Dance to the beat using a combination of well-timed swings as well as movement replications of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
MY ADVICE
+ If you shake too much, you’ll rip the garment and get little-to-no points.
+ You’ll get the maximum amount of points if the garment sparkles.
+ Shake excessively to remove the dirt. Look at the colour of the water beneath you. Once the grey disappears and the water in your area becomes bubbly and white, take it out.
MY ADVICE
+ A large movement is more effective.
+ If you hear sounds from the Remote’s speaker, you’re doing it properly. If so, go a little faster but keep the same movement pattern.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Office
OBJECTIVE: Fool around at your cubicle when your boss isn’t looking to rack up points.
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ Don’t strain yourself. How fast you go does NOT determine the amount of points you get.
+ You’ll get the most points by stopping at the very last moment when the Boss Rabbid is about to appear.
+ The most tricky one is when the boss comes from the window. He shows his face more quickly there.
+ When the boss comes out of the Soda Machine or the Door on the right, he’ll turn around right before closing the door. Don’t get caught off guard and only start shaking as soon as he leaves.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rabbid School
NUNCHUK (Y/N): No
MY ADVICE
+ Unlike in Office, how fast you exert yourself DOES make a difference (albeit a bit small at first but it does get bigger if you do so continuously without stopping) in the amount of points you’ll receive.
+ You’ll get more points if you keep shaking for as long as possible without having to stop. You’ll get points incrementally.
+ The teacher will start to shake in place when he’s about to turn around but don’t stop right away as he sometimes doesn’t turn around at all.
+ Shake the Nunchuk to reject a pepper.
+ Red peppers fill up about 70% of the gauge.
+ Yellow peppers fill up about 50% of the gauge.
+ Green peppers fill up about 10% or 20% of the gauge.
+ Red + Green (maybe two) = (near) perfect. Press A and you may get Two thumbs up.
+ Yellow + Yellow = perfect. Press A and hope for the best.
+ Make sure the plates don’t wobble because if the Rabbids throw another plate on, all the plates will shatter!
+ You’ll have to swing a little faster as more plates get balanced on the broomstick.
+ Go at the right speed – not too fast, not too slow. Determine the right speed early on. On the Remote, you’ll have to swing fairly quickly.
+ Go like crazy at the circular movement. If you follow the drawing exactly, you won’t get many points.
+ The circular movement grants you the most PTS (500).
+ The other two movements grant less than the circular movement – the up-and-down movement only grants 21 per jump and the back-and-forth movement, only 120.
+ Don’t always hold 2. It’s easier to turn if you let go and turn.
+ If people are bombarding you and you want to escape, let go of the 2 Button and you won’t go back as far and you can try turn better than you could if you were holding the button down, trying to accelerate.
+ You only get points for hitting people’s sides, not their front.
+ When going for the Trophy, leave the computers alone for a bit and they’ll drive near the edge after about 3-5 seconds if they’re not touched. That’s your chance to hit them off.
+ You don’t have to hit the Rabbid’s head. Hitting the feet (or anywhere else on the body) is sufficient.
+ The faster you shoot the Rabbid after you can draw, the more points you’ll earn.
+ When playing multiplayer, whoever hits him first will get more points. After someone’s hit him, take your time a bit more to ensure you actually hit the Rabbid rather than shooting right past him.
+ You don’t get the points for the butterflies until you swallow them.
+ What makes the Trophy hard to acquire is that the COM’s will smack you... frequently. If you get a good butterfly, stay away from them if possible or swing at them until you swallow it so they don’t get a chance.
+ Green butterflies are worth the most.
+ Don’t always keep your mouth open as you’ll move slower. Only open it when you’re near a butterfly and close it when running towards another one and you’ll go faster.
+ The COM’s take about a second to get started so when the pointer symbol appears, aim at the very top-left tip so you can quickly rush to your pile of sand and start digging.
(11) NINTENDO WI-FI CONNECTION
**************************************
This section covers the specs about the usage of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in this game.
HOW TO USE IT?
You can use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to submit your high scores to a database Ubisoft created that will allow you to compare your scores to people from around the world!
To do so, you will need an Internet connection, a wireless router, or a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector. See the Wii Manual for more information on this.
WHERE CAN I FIND IT?
There is no separate “mode”, per se, for Wi-Fi. Simply choose a mini-game from Free Play, and select the Trophy to view Local High-Scores. Point to the Wi-Fi Symbol (represented as a globe) to submit your scores and compare them with everyone else’s.
You will be able to see the Top 3 Rankings as well as your personal worldwide rank!
RANKINGS
Below, I will list the current Top 3 Records for games. This may change however, and may only change to the World Record only but otherwise, it goes without saying that the Top 3 will change overtime so if you don’t have Wi-Fi, check back here or over on raymanravingrabbids2.com for more information on the high-score database.
CURRENT RANKINGS AS OF DECEMBER 22, 2007.
(I go by Wi-Fi not the site; also, the rankings I wrote down were from the week before this but they’re probably all still current.)
(13) FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS
**************************************
Q: How many games feature Alternating Play?
A: Only four!
Q: How many games require the Nunchuk?
A: 19 (13 excluding the Dancing games).
Q: Is it true they were supposed to have another trip?
A: Yes. They were supposed to have Africa but it didn’t get included in the end. :(
Q: Is this game good for 2 players?
A: Yes, it’s great! Keep in mind that this is MADE for 4 players! MP8 is just as great for 2 people as this.
Q: What’s the best Party Game/mini-game collection on the Wii?
A: Single-Player: Rayman Raving Rabbids
2-Person Multiplayer: This/Mario Party 8
4-Person Multiplayer: This (can’t speak from experience, though)
Q: Which game will have you laughing more? WarioWare or this?
A: They’re both equally funny in their own right, except I find that the charm of the Rabbids overpowers WarioWare’s more immature humour.
Q: Is this better than...
A: Monkey Ball? Yes, for sure. There are some dud (example, Dizzy Race) but it’s a VERY small number; overall, it surpasses Monkey Ball’s mini-games greatly (and I really enjoyed them).
A: The Original? In some respects. For single-player? No, the other one is better. But this has FAR greater multiplayer focus.
A: WarioWare: Yes. WarioWare’s good for short sessions because of its lack of excessive variety in multiplayer compared to this.
A: Mario Party 8? In some respects, but in others, MP8 is slightly better for 2 people. 4-Players, though, is where RRR reigns supreme!
A: Sonic and the Secret Rings? If you bought SatSR for the Party Mode, you need to re-examine your priorities. Short answer: Monkey Ball is better than SatSR (although there are a few great gems) but this blows SatSR out of the water.
A: Carnival Games? Dunno. Never played it. Based on what I know about it, this would probably be better.
A: Barnyard? For sure. Barnyard doesn’t even HAVE multiplayer strangely...
