RE: Rare where ? =[

Well, they still develop for the handheld market, for nintendo since microsoft aren't in that market yet.

RE: Rare where ? =[

There's no way Rare is going back to Nintendo currently, or releases any game for Nintendo consoles, stop deluding yourselves.

RE: Rare where ? =[

Rare are releasing viva pinata for the nintendo ds, i believe the DS is a nintendo console.

Rare can still release games to the VC prior to microsoft take-over.

Nintendo could buy rare back, but i doubt microsoft are wiling to sell them.

Rare says it's nintendo's decision to let their games onto the VC.
I believe the donkey kong country series are already on the VC and they are rare games.

They've been releasing for the handhelds for a while still with nintendo.
Microsoft may have a final say in whether or not banjo kazooie 1 & 2 will be relased on the VC as, banjo kazooie 3 is being released for Xbox360.

Banjo Kazooie - Gruntilda's Revenge, was a GBA exclusive, technically the 3rd game in the series. Between the first & second game i believe.
It's possible this may of originally have been meant for a gamecube release but due to being over-taken by microsoft and nintendo selling it's 49% share in the company, that rare could no longer release the game intended for the cube, so converted it into a GBA adventure. Although this is just speculation.

So there is hope.
However there is no hope as of now to whether we will get banjo kazooie 3, as microsoft still own rare, and until nintendo buy back rare, or what, there won't be a banjo kazooie 3 on a nintendo system.

RE: Rare where ? =[

The NDS is a Nintendo handheld, not console, big difference there! Microsoft doesn't care about who controls the handheld marked, after all they're not involved there.

Donkey Kong Country, while indeed a Rareware game, does belong to Nintendo though, every Donkey Kong game does I'm pretty sure. Banjo-Kazooie, however, is completely Rare, and belongs to Rare.

Yes, Rare said it's Nintendo's decision if they want the games on VC or not, but, while I'd love it to happen, it's unlikely, and Microsoft does probably have a say in this. Reminds me of the recent situation when Rare wanted to release a updated Goldeneye 007, originally a N64 game, on Xbox Live Arcade and Nintendo didn't allow it.

In short:
Rare games for handhelds: Yes.
Rare games for non-Microsoft consoles: No.
Old Rare games on VC: Possible.

(Oh, and Banjo-Kazooie 3 is already far into development on the Xbox 360. <.<)

RE: Rare where ? =[

I'd still class it has a console, but thats my opinion.
And surely, nintendo shouldn't have a say in whether or not they can release goldeneye? As nintendo don't own james bond franchise. [as far as i know]
I know it's over 50% new E3 footage soon =]

Bears repeating. Some have asked me how DKC gets added and Banjo-Kazooie has so much trouble. Which is why I keep saying, DK64 has a higher chance of apeparing on the VC than BK.. somewhat unfortunately. I say "seomwhat" because DK64 is an amazing game on its own merit.

RE: Rare where ? =[

Donkey Kong BELONGS TO NINTENDO

thats why it has appeared on VC

also, imo, nintendo is trying to find the BEST n64 games, and seein as banjo started on n64 it will take a while due to the SLOW converting time and the 2 - 3 games per week. Give it time
