I really hope it comes out in June - I'll DEFINITELY request it for my grad present.

Also, mid-air tricks confirmed for both karts and bikes. "Get a trick just right, and your cart will perform a dash upon landing."

As for online play:
We'll be able to "play against players from throughout the world, players in your country, and players on your friend list."

Additionally, we'll be getting a whole new channel (dubbed "Mario Kart Channel" tentatively) to view records, etc.

Also, you can send and receive TA stats online to friends and there are even online rankings (see: leaderboards) for time attack as well!

You can upload and download ghosts as well!!

Great news all around!!

Also, there's a small hint that we'll be getting GC-controller support as well. :o

BTW, if you haven't seen Baby Peach in action yet...

ks8, aren't you a tad too excited about this? I have a few questions. What can Miis do? and won't 16 ppl be really slow? Otherwise it sounds like an awsome game.

Max, think about those people are frantically scrambling to find someway to pass the time for Brawl's release and how badly they want it to release. I'm almost at that level for MKWii. I want it THAT bad.

Mii's are just other players. I wonder if they'll have differentiated stats. Most likely, though, they'll be balance characters.

And it's 12 people online. Sites claimed it was 16 but there was some confusion with that. Anyway, 12. And no, lag isn't an issue, usually. Look at MKDS!

It's going to be awesome!

A recent JPN magazine scan has been translated, some new tidbits:
* You can play against Friends Online or Random Users!
* Can go Locally or Worldwide!
* You can check and see if your friends are currently online, like in Strikers Charged.
