RE: Does the Wii need an Achievements system?

They're continuing to hint at this Achievements system, now, in WiiWare games. some games have, what they call, "BADGES".

Some games like Pop that launched yesterday have this and other titles too that are coming in the near future may also incorporate this Badges-system as well. Is this a sign of things to come? I certainly hope so!

Imagine a Profile/Channel where you can track all your Badges (like an Award Cabinet) and it would give you a Points Total or something like the Gamer Score on 360. I'll keep my eyes open. :)
