I sure did already on xbox, i've become addicted to getting the last damn achievement, making me play the game a ahell of a lot more than i would even care about normally.

I think having an Achievements system makes you try harder. It's something to work towards, no amtter how hard it is. Some games have tried instituting it already, but I think if Nintendo adapted something... slightly similar, that'd be great. Sure people would viiew it as a 360 knock-off but I'd sure appreciate it, especially since I love leaderboards too.

I wonder, though. Knowing Nintendo, if they WERE to do that, they wouldn't call it "Achievements", per se. They'd use a synonym for it or something like, I dunno, Trophies or something. xD

In any case, Achievements certainly expand a game's lifespan on the 360. Some achievements, though, are useless to me, but others are worth striving for. Sometimes, after you get it you feel a bit.. empty but being able to compare Gamerscores with friends is great, and that's something the Wii should adopt, knowing how focused it is on the Wii Friend system.

Additionally, i don't see why they can't do a Xbox360 play channel, i believe the dreamcast actually made a playable PS2 coder disk for it so you could play ps2 games on your dreamcast [maybe ps1]

And if wii did it, it'd be like Wiievements lol Or Mii Achievements lol, something silly anyway, they always want to be, instead of arcade it's virutal console.

Firstly, it would be so totally illegal to make a channel for playing other consoles on theirs just like that.

PS2 emulation on Dreamcast is impossible just from looking at the hardware specs, and PS1 seems unlikely. But even if it existed, you can bet that it wasn't officially allowed and not produced or approved by Sega.
