Does the Wii need a Hard Drive?
I think it does. Nintendo have all these good ideas about things they can do with the Wii, but the memory in the Wii is way too small to do them.
I mean take WiiWare for example, how can a full game fit into the Wii's tiny internal memory. They keep telling us to use SD cards, but if you download a full WiiWare game it'll take up most of a 1GB SD card and imagine having to have a different SD card for every WiiWare game. Not to mention how much it would cost.
I think they should just make a 10-30GB hard drive that connects to the USB ports on the back of the Wii.
Anyway, debate!

For sure. You don't understand how LITLE memory I have left after 18 VC games.
You know that you can remove them from your wii if you want more space and they will still be yours and will be able to get back for no charge from the shop channel. No hard drive required!

I thought that tiny amount of memory the Wii had was the Hardrive  wow, guess I was wrong!
I agree though, an external hard drive should be made, especially for those who buy many VC games and plan on using Wiiware a lot.

Who wants to DELETE games to make room, even if you can re-DL them later. XD

why dont they just do an update that allows us to use usb accseories as a memory device. then you could use memory sticks, iPods, and external hard drives.
even if i had to send it in for a month i would still get this update!!!!(but only if its free)

They would most likely sell their own just to make money from it. Also, using a memory stick would be expensive as you would no doubt need more than one.

HDD would be very nice, but all they really need to do is allowing VC games and channels to be started from the inserted SD-card, really.
