Uh. No.
Sega doesn't live off Sonic. Haven't you guys ever seen them make any thing else? I do. They have so many other series and games that they shouldn't worry. The question that would be better to consider is "Is this Sonic's last chance?" Sega is nowhere near being "finished." And for that matter, Sonic isn't close to being finished. He needs a long string of failures, I mean long and the most recent Sonic games have been quite successful in terms of income, maybe not fan appreciation, but enough people buy Sonic games to keep the blue blur going.
Randomboy, you need to look at Sega's big picture. Sega isn't supported by Sonic alone. If he really plummets, he'll plummet alone, not with the company.
The question is saying, do you see this as sega's last chance on sonic, i think you've mistinterpretated it.
Either way, sonic is the main reason sega has alot of income, even from his crapper games, i was simply saying tht even with the crap games sonic makes money end of.
And yes sega has been doing alot of good things lately have aload of good series. =].
I can name loads but i won't waste your time.

Heh. Yeah, SEGAs been going full force with Sonic lately to strengthen his image.
I can guarantee Unleashed will have some sort of Wi-Fi. They've been very Wi-Fi friendly lately which is great to see.

Yeah, EF, as long as there's a strong fanbase, even if it's a "crappy game", which it won't be (it'll just be proclaimed to be by biased critics), they'll get the money and they'll be encouraged to continue the tradition, which is great for us fans.

I don't know if Sega has the fortitude to let Sonic go without a fight.
They will keep trying to shove half-assed games down our throats hoping that we will like them.
They should know when to give it up.. IMO.
