Well I was wondering if this is possible... I have a wired router with wireless capabilities... but long story short we're stuck with wired. So my friend got me a LAN connector for my Wii as a gift. Now that it's hooked up and running, I was wondering if it's possible to use the Wii as a wireless access point/hot spot for my DS (like to play Wi-Fi games). I know you can play certain games (like the Pokemon stadium-type game) with your DS and it all works wirelessly. I've tried looking on Nintendo's site for this, but all I got was confused.

Sorry, not possible at this point, rumors have been going around about an update about letting the Wii be an access point, but as of now, no. Sorry.

If you had Wi-Fi Connector, then yes you could use both Wii and DS.

That's weird. I thought I heard somebody working at gamestop talking about using the Wii as a wireless access point. I guess I heard wrong.....

I think it'll work though. The DS and Wii communicate, not the internet.

The Wii is not an access point. Simple.
